When you register on Samaan, we collect: your name, phone number, shop name, business address, CNIC (for verification), bank account details (for payouts), and device information. We also collect usage data: what you browse, search, and order through the platform.

2. Why We Collect It

Your data helps us: (a) verify your identity as a legitimate Dukaandar or Supplier; (b) process orders and payments securely; (c) recommend relevant products; (d) improve the platform experience; (e) comply with Pakistani legal and tax requirements.

3. Data Sharing

We share your data only: (a) with Suppliers when you place an order (so they can fulfill it); (b) with our payment processor and logistics partners; (c) if required by law enforcement with a valid court order. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized Samaan personnel on a need-to-know basis.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and withdraw consent for marketing communications. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@samaan.app. We will respond within 30 days as required by Pakistani law.

Samaan uses essential cookies for platform functionality and optional analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences in your browser settings.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records for 6 years under FBR regulations).
